Editor and publisher of the monthly Gloom Boom & Doom Report, which he has written since 1990, and director of Marc Faber Ltd. He earned an economics doctorate magna cum laude from the University of Zurich at 24, spent 1970 to 1978 at White Weld & Company, and ran Drexel Burnham Lambert's Hong Kong office as managing director from 1978 to 1990. Known as Dr. Doom for his contrarian calls, he is based in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
