Jim Rickards is the editor of the Strategic Intelligence newsletter at Paradigm Press and the author of Currency Wars and a series of books on currencies, gold, and financial crises. A lawyer and investment banker by background, he was general counsel of the hedge fund Long-Term Capital Management, where he negotiated the firm's 1998 rescue brokered by the Federal Reserve.
